I am a professor at the Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC) in the Computer Engineering programme and an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.
I received my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Eastern Mediterranean University in 1999, with a high honour degree and my M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Manchester, in 2000, with distinction. I have completed my Ph.D. in 2005 which was supervised by Dr. Robert Stevens and Prof. Carole Goble. I have also recieved my habilitation from Higher Education Council in Turkey in 2017.
My primary research interest is centred on human-computer interaction, particularly user behaviour analysis and modelling, artificial intelligence applications with machine learning, and eye-tracking research. For further information, please refer to my research page.
